Several sources revealed that the National People’s Army Forces toppled, in a new quality operation in the Algerian far south, on Sunday night, a senior leader of the terrorist organization ISIS before entering the Libyan territory, near Debdab region in Illizi province (Southern Algeria).

The matter comes, according to Echorouk sources, to Abdel Moneim Talbi, alias “Abu Mouhamed”, 29, as he was arrested with another terrorist, who was not registered within the wanted lists, or people who are associated with terrorism when they were on board a Toyota Hilux car.

The two arrested terrorists are currently placed under investigation, as the first is the  associates of the former leader of ISIS called Aba Othman Al Assimi, who survived death in Bouira (eastern Algiers), then moved to Tebessa province (eastern Algeria), where he settled for a period before attempting to travel to Libya to attend a meeting of the leaders of the terrorist organization, in the border region with Libya, Tunisia and Algeria, in the Libyan soil, where ISIS terrorists were monitored for some time while moving continuously to study the available alternatives in case of war on the organization in the Libyan territory on the one hand, and to study alternative plans to bring support for the organization, which was unable to infiltrate Algeria as a result of the awareness of Algerian armed forces and its expertise in the fight against terrorism.

Security analyst Ahmed Mizab, told Echorouk that the arrest of this prominent leader has three connotations, the first is addressed to the organization that it has no impact or effect in Algeria, and the second is addressed to the community to increase its reassurance on security strategy, and the third emphasizes on the attempts of the terrorist organization to move to the Algerian territory in order to maintain a state of high alert.
