Arrest of “National Leader” Of Ahmadiyya Sect In Chlef Province

Elements of the judicial police of the security services of Chlef province (western Algeria), rounded up on Monday, the “national leader” of the Ahmadiyya Sect, together with six other people belonging to this deleterious doctrine.

The process of arrest, according to Echorouk’s sources, was carried out following confessions made by one of the Ahmadiyya Sect’s adherents, who revealed the existence of the followers of the organization in the Chlef region.

The local security services diligently tracked down the movements of the Ahmadis throughout the province, notably by wire-tapping their phone calls, and this enabled the arrest of the “national leader” of the Ahmadiyya Sect, accompanied by three of his followers including academics in the area of Madjaja, as well as two other people, in the Houriya district and the Karimiya municipality.

Moreover, the security investigations also led to the arrest of another individual from the western province of Tlemcen who is said to have been very active in the dissemination of the nefarious Ahmadiyya thought in various parts of the country.

Several propaganda leaflets and CDs extolling the low-down “Ahmadiyya” thought and offending the noble Prophet of Islam Mohamed, God’s Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him, were also seized by security forces during home searches in the region.
