Examining judge at a court in Annaba (east of Algeria) Wednesday ordered to put two suspects involved in an international network of weapons smuggling from Libya to Algeria.

The judge started hearing four suspects including two Tunisians and two Algerians. They were caught by the National Gendarmeries forces in Annaba which seized 45 weapons.

The arms were intended to terrorist groups in eastern Algeria where Abu Lamlum, leader of Fath Mobine battalion affiliated to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb operates.

The Tunisian suspects said they received money and drug from a drug baron in Annaba in return for giving him gun machines.

The network was dismantled following information given by terrorist Abu Abdellah who surrendered to the national army, 15 days ago. He told investigators terrorists planned suicide attacks on many sensitive facilities in eastern Algeria.

He also said there is a link between terrorist groups in the east and a terror support network which cooperates with Tunisian elements on borders. They planned to smuggle arms to terrorists in Algeria.
