Audio-visual control authority will decide about channels future, says minister

Algeria’s communication minister Sunday said audio-visual field specifications were approved by cabinet and is ready for implementation. It will be released in the next few days.

Speaking about non accredited private channels, the minister said their situation will be determined by the audio-visual control authority. 

He added that the ministry follows all what is broadcast in channels including violence promoting, anti human values discourse and offences against children.

The minister Sunday supervised a training session presented by a French professor from the University of Bordeaux. It was about digital revolution and its consequences during the last fifty years.

The French expert said the digital revolution can hit personal freedom and nations’ sovereignty. Because of that, information specialists should find new legislations to adapt to this revolution.
