Baba Ahmed: “BAC threshold to depend on the pupils' program

BAC lessons’ threshold will depend on the pupils’ lessons that they received across all Wilayas, Education Minister, Baba Ahmed Abdellatif, said Thursday on the sidelines of his visit to the sector in Annaba, eastern Algeria.

“Questions will be simple and will not go beyond the studies’ program. Pupils should focus on their studies and let fear away concerning the threshold”.

Although he avoided reading a question about the crisis between the ministry and education syndicates and their demands, especially since they threatened of launching strikes again if they are not realized, but he asserted that the rest of the current school year is expected to continue normally.

“Threshold will be identified based on the reports that were prepared by education directorates across all Wilayas.”

This decision comes at a time in which teachers estimated the delay rate between 4 and 7 weeks, that are difficult to redress, which may lead to copy the 2013 BAC threshold.

Education Ministry ended his visit to many educational institutions with a closed meeting with the sector’s official in the wilaya, as media were prevented from attending it under the pretext of discussing professional subject that should not be known by journalists.
