Baccalureate questions will be “easy,” says minister
Algerian education minister Abdelatif Baba Ahmed said the Baccalureate exam questions will be “somehow easy” compared to previous exams. Foreign language retired teachers will be hired to cover deficit in southern Algeria.
Baba Ahmed Friday told a program on a TV public channel the ministry will ask public service department for an “exceptional permission” to hire foreign language retired teachers.
Speaking about the Baccalureate exam, the minister said all the high schools will be open in the evening starting from 5 pm until 10 pm to allow pupils to revise their lessons collectively.
The Baccalaureate exam will be held on June 1st.
Questions adapted to provincial specificities
According to sources, the courses limit will include the first and the second trimesters as well the first week of the third trimester of some subjects. Courses have been delayed for 10 weeks in some provinces.
This comes as teachers went on repeated strikes and courses were delayed because of bad weather and protests especially in the province of Ghardaia (south of Algeria).
