Bachir Frik: “Ministers, Generals and contractors looted real-estate through Governors”

Former Algerian Wali or Governor, Bachir Frik, has supplied more revelations to Echorouk TV about the shady and blameworthy practices of certain bigwigs of the political establishment with the connivance of certain Walis or Governors in several parts of the country.

He also laid bare the nefarious and illegal practices of some ministers, army generals and powerful contractors who tightened their voracious grip on real-estate property in several provinces of the country in total defiance of the laws and regulations, as he put it.

 Bachir Frik blamed in this connection certain profit-grabbing Walis or Governors who made themselves accomplices of these big shots of the ruling Nomenklatura in this widespread looting spree of public property over many years starting from the nineties.

Mr Bachir Frik also told Echorouk TV that he had been intimidated and even threatened by some powerful people in the wake of his burning revelations to the press without giving further details about the identity of such revengeful people whose slate, he said, is quite murky given their gross misdemeanors and blatant malpractice by virtue of the laws of the Republic.
