Badr Ghalib and 120 foreign Christians visit the Atlas cathedral
Over 120 Christians from the foreign Christian community living in Algeria visited Friday Algeria, including the Bishop of Algeria Ghalib Badr as well as a number of priests who are active in the churches of Algiers centre and the Kabilyan region in the “Atlas†cathedral which is situated in the region of Tibhirine, Draa Essmar, west of Medea, west of Algeria.

This visit came within the framework of the 13th memory of the assassination of seven priests who were killed during their Christian work in the Atlas cathedral in 1996 by the Armed Islamic Group GIA terrorists.

Algeria’s Bishop Ghlaib Badr constructed a temple in the cathedral where he sited the qualities of the seven priests including their tolerance, sincerity and dedication.

-
Priests who accompanied Ghalib organized, after the mass, five masses for remembering and mercy.

According to observers, the visit by Badr Ghaleb to Tbihrine, considered the first since his appointment as Algeria’s bishop, aims to develop the church work in the Atlas cathedral which was launched some months ago by non-resident nuns who also launched sections for swing classes.
