Benflis or Makri ..Who will lead opposition?
The leaders of the democratic transition coordination would today meet Ali Benflis the unsuccessful candidate to the presidential election and leader of “the pole of change forces “in order to discuss the current political situation especially in the current conjuncture where a lot of people say that personalities from these two movements will try to get the leadership of the opposition.
According to the political analyst Abdelali Rezagui, Ali Benflis can’t lead the current Algerian opposition movement because he doesn’t possess a political party as has done the other political personalities in Algeria who called for a “transition period” such as Mouloud Hamrouche ,Taleb El Ibrahimi and Sid Ahmed Ghozali .
Rezagui added that the opposition parties who called for the boycott of the presidential couldn’t accept to be under the leadership of the one that didn’t respect their motto during that period and preferred to take part in the election; furthermore,Benflis must create a political party if he wants to federate the opposition movement and be up to the job notably when knowing that Benflis can rally a great number of the FLN party partisans.
The leader of the MSP party Abderrazak Makri said for his part that the current political conjuncture is not the one of sectarian quarrels but on the contrary it asks for the gathering of all efforts to protect the country from all the curses that are hindering its progress and its democratic process.
