Benflis to file a request for his party's accreditation by mid- May

Former Presidential Elections candidate, Ali Benflis, intends to file a request for his new party’s accreditation by mid-May, as reported by Echorouk sources that are close to the man, in preparation for the future political occasions, without determining the name of the new political party.

Chairman of the Technical Committee in charge of preparing the file of the party’s accreditation, former Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, met with the Committee’ s members, on Tuesday, as the most important points of preparing the file were examined, and it comes to all of the Chairman of the Basic Law Committee, Khaled Dehina, a former member of the Constitutional Council, and the head of the Domestic Law ,Azzouz Nasseri, who is also head of the former Supreme Court, and Chairman of the Program’s Committee, Hassane Bouskia, a former adviser to the presidency, in addition to the Chairman of FLN’s Leadership Recruitment Committee, Abdelkader Zidouk, Chairman of the Youth Committee, Chakib Kuidri, and Head of Woman’s Committee and an FLN leader, Saliha Ladjal, to accelerate the progress of the file for submission to the Interior Ministry by mid-May.
According to available information, the committee that is supervising the party’s broad outlines, derived the majority of its program from the national renovation project, which Benflis used when he run for the presidential elections, as it is based on the priority that is given to youth and women, in addition to the elite – according to the same sources – at a time Benflis believed that the electoral results of his participation in the last elections exceeds over 6.5 million voters, according to figures in his possession, making him active in the future – sources say – at the time, the Interior Ministry announced in the final results of may 17 elections, that Benflis won 1.2 million votes only.
Benflis, who returned to political life after 10 years of absence, said the figures that he obtained “officially” are equal to the electoral body that gave “legitimacy” for the current parliament, which means that if he participated in the previous legislative elections, he would have won all the seats in parliament.
