What can you say about the draw for African Cup of Nations?
-
-
I think it is a fair draw and all the groups are equal. In Africa, we do not talk about big teams and other small ones. The level is almost the same. Because of that, the competition will be strong and I expect some surprises would happen.
-
-
How do you think about the group of the national team?
-
-
As we qualified to the World Cup in South Africa, we will be one of the teams likely to go far in Angola’s tournament. Though Algeria and Mali seem to be the strongest teams in the first group, we must not forget that Angola will be supported by its people. Malawi will play without complex and they may make a surprise.
-
-
But your are optimist.
-
-
We have proved that we are strong and we can play against any team. We will do our best to be the winner in the first round and go far in the competition.

-
Egypt’s player Mohamed Zidane accused you of violence in Wednesday’s match.
-
-
It is natural that players are bothered by their opponents. Anyway, we proved top everybody that we deserve to attend the World Cup and we do not care about what the Egyptians say.
-
-
Were you expecting to qualify to the World Cup?
-
-
Every player dreams of attending the World cup. We were confident that we have a team capable of making miracles. Our first objective was to qualify to the African Cup. Then, we become more ambitious and be brought joy to all the Algerian people. We were extremely delighted when we were received by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. He expressed his proud of what we did.

You will be the only representative of Arabs in the World Cup. Will that be pressure on you?
-
-
At present, we are still soaked up in victory euphoria. We will think about the African Cup later. The world Cup will be another issue. We have the honour to represent the Arabs in South Africa. We wish other Arab teams qualified. There will be no pressure because we will play without any complex. We will do our best to make Algeria proud of us.
