Black decade saved Algeria from Arab Spring chaos

Writer Amar Belhimer said what happened in the Arab world five years ago can not be called Spring due to its repercussions. “What happened in the Arab world is a plan made by big powers under the supervision of oil and arm companies.”

Belhimer cited US reports and the World Bank’s analysis, saying what is happening in the Arab world is wars led by big powers. This happened due to the absence of freedoms and democracy.

He added that the plan was executed with the help of non governmental organizations and social media.

He believes that ISIS is created by the West because America and big powers always need an enemy to give them the legitimacy of intervening and having control over Arab nations. 

Speaking about the situation after the Arab Spring, the writer said Algeria was not touched by it because it experienced bloody events in the 1990’s. “This gave it immunity against any trend.”
