Bouchouareb dismiss industrial group chiefs

Algeria’s industry minister Abdesselam Bouchouareb Tuesday dismissed chiefs of public industrial groups while some others retired. Of them, CEO of SNVI industrial cars company which raised a large controversy due to its negative performance and protests among its workers. A new acting director was appointed.

The ministry said in a release that CEO of the Textile Industrial Group Yazid Hamadate retired and was succeeded by SNVI’s CEO Malek Salah. 

This comes following an assessment of the performance of senior officials at public industrial groups. 

The ministry said it aims at creating dynamism in the management of industrial groups and speed up development plans.

A large number of industrial groups have experienced many problems. Of them, SNVI could not exceed 42 percent of its drawn objectives although it had benefited from many budgets.
