Algiers criminal court is expected to open a file related to terrorism, in one of its next criminal sessions, as 15 arrested are involved in the file related to the twin bombing which targeted the centre of Bouira, east of Algiers, last summer, causing large material damage in the public and private properties, including a non completed hotel.

• According to Echorouk, the 15 arrested will be followed on various charges, mainly joining a terrorist group, killings, providing support and assistance to the armed terrorists, as well as the charge of harming the state’s stability and damaging the national and foreign institutions, using bombings and suicide bombers in order to target the public places, and possession of firearms and war ammunition.
• Bouira bombings that occurred in the summer 2008, is the first of the kind to affect the centre of the city after having been confined to the suburbs only, causing extensive damage which hit some of the public and private institutions without causing human casualties.
• One of the accused recognised ownership of the car type “Renault Kangoo” which was used in one of the terrorist attacks, noting that he sold it 10 days before the bombings with the amount of 44 million dinars in Al Harrach cars market, as the second accused “B.M” recognised his ownership of the second car which
• exploded, adding that he sold it before the bombings.
• Security forces arrested the accused in the summer 2008, following calls between them, as some of them recognised they belong to the terrorist groups that are active in the mountains of Bouira and Tizi Ouzou, east of Algiers, under the command of the so called “Derbal.A” also nicknamed “Abou Houtheifa Abdeldjabbare”, who have been recently eliminated by the Algerian forces.
• Another accused recognised that fact that supported the terrorists in the forest of Douare Mekhchen in Bouira through supplying them with food and equipments, particularly cell phones, slides and scratch cards, using a car and sometimes in a bus.
• This accused revealed on the presence of a terrorist group which is specialized in recruiting young people and minors in armed operations, through facilitating contacts with terrorist groups in order to join them directly in the terrorist groups.
