Bouteflika in Switzerland for check-up

Algeria’s President Abdelaziz Bouteflika Sunday went to Geneva on a « special visit » for a « regular check-up,” said a release issued by the President’s Office.

This is the first time that the President goes to Switzerland for treatment after he left Val-De-Grace Hospital in Paris in December 2015. 

His sufferance with the disease started in November 2005. Official reports said he had a stomach ulcer.

In April 2013, he had a stroke and was taken to the Paris hospital where he had stayed for 81 days.
