Bouteflika orders government to develop agriculture through supporting the farmers

Algerian president Bouteflika asked the community services to ensure success of the rural renewal program, and develop the techniques and modern technologies, as well as ensuring continuous training for the youths in order to enable them participate in the development of the countryside. 

• Bouteflika also instructed the government to promote the measures that would contribute to the renewal of rural areas, particularly the need to complete the legal measures in relationship with the use of real estates.
• He insisted in statement following the hearing session which he allocated to the Agriculture Minister, Rachid Ben Issa, on the need to address the food security challenge, mentioning the measures that were taken last February for the sector about the clearing of debts of farmers and breeders, estimated to 40 billion dinars, or various incentives of the agricultural production worth 200 billion dianrs.
• “The results of this season have encouraged the government to continue supporting the agricultural sector, particularly for the strategic productions such as cereal grains and meat. All the conditions are available to start developing the agriculture in the countryside”, he says.
