Bouteflika shares with Algerian women their international day celebration

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika attended Tuesday a banquet organised in honour of elite women at the Palais des Nations on International Women's Day.

• Earlier on Monday, President Bouteflika addressed to women stressing the State’s efforts to concretise women’s rights in life. “In this regard, we amended the Constitution and introduced a new article to extend women’s participation in elected assemblies. This is part of right and duty practice,” said the president’s letter.

• Delegate minister in charge of family and society’s affairs stressed the reinforcement of women’s capacities through sub-contracting, small companies and independent business. This is meant to enable her to play an important role in economic development and achieve prosperity for women and their families.
