Bouteflika to meet the Housing, Health and Interior Ministers

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will appeal, next Sunday, hearings for the government, as the Minister of Housing, Noureddine Moussa, and the Minister of Health, Essaid Barkat, will present the outcome of the activities of both ministries. 

  • The president will also hear, next Wednesday, the Minister of Interior, Noureddine Yazid Zarhouni.

  • The meeting with the Minister of Housing is expected to focus on the additional program for the next five years, and the outcome of the housing fold, construction, distribution and the new procedures which entered into application, particularly in the field of developing the housing sector and the settlement of the crisis caused by anarchy and randomness and vacant apartments and unequal distribution in some regions.

  • While the meeting with the Minister of Health is expected to discuss the reality of the hospitals and efforts to improve the health sector in Algeria and ways of ensuring better conditions for the patients, in light of the repeated complaints and formal reports, including the report by the advisory body for the promotion and protection of human rights, as well as the results of inspections and control of hospitals and health centers.

  • The meeting with the Interior Minster is important and influential in determining decisions later on, as Yazid Zerhouni will open important files, notably the identity cards, and biometric passports, as well as the file on the new administrative division and the municipal law.

  • Bouteflika had made of these hearings a new tradition for inspecting and controlling the first responsible of state and the government members.

  • The hearing cessions were postponed last week, because the president traveled to Libya in order to participate in a seminar of the African Union concerning the examination of conflicts in Africa and the ways to settle them.
