Boycotting parties: RCD march is internal affair

Members of the Presidential Elections Boycotting Parties and Personalities said a march planned by Algeria’s RCD in mid-April is an internal affair and can not interfere in it.

The RCD will organize the march to express its refusal to the elections and call for Tamazight formalization.

Senior member of the Justice and Development Front Lakhdar Benkhelaf said the Coordination did not discuss the RCD’s march as it is an individual decision which comes on the Amazigh Spring annual celebration.

“We are working according to the decisions agreed upon. Yet, the parties are independent in their decisions,” he told Echorouk.

According to the MSP’s leading member Redouane Benattallah, the boycotters plan to a national conference about democratic transition.

Leader of Nahda movement Mohamed Douibi said political parties are independent and free in their decisions. “Since the beginning, there has been an agreement on democratic transition.
