Breast cancer screening: Over 300 participants in solidarity and awareness race

ALGIERS- Over 300 people have participated in the solidarity and awareness race on Friday at 1st May Square (Algiers) under the slogan “Together against Cancer,” which aims at increasing women's awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening.

The two-kilometre-long race, from the 1st May Square and finished to Pierre & Marie Curie Centre (CPMC), was marked by the presence Minister of Health, Population and Hospital reform Djamel Ould Abbes, Youths and Sports Minister Hachemi Djiar, and Minister for Family and Women’s Affairs Nouara Saadia Djaafar.

In addition to the sports event’s organizers, namely the Sports Association of Algiers Practitioners (ASMGA), Cancer Patients Aid Association of Blida and Bouchaoui Athletic Club Association (BAC), many sports figures and citizens, of all ages, have also participated in the race.
