Building and Public Works Sector: Moroccan Workers Suspected Of Spying Activities
Some reliable sources revealed to “Echorouk” that the security services are currently investigating Moroccan workers working in the construction and public works (BTP) sector in a number of wilayas or provinces of Algeria including El Oued province on suspicion of engaging in spying activities for the benefit of the Moroccan “Makhzen”.
According to our sources, comprehensive security services’ investigations have focused on the Moroccan workers, notably specialists in plaster carving, working in state projects, such as Government departments, hospitals, Town–Halls and the homes of senior state executives…
Observers aware of security issues, recalled the vigilance rules to be strictly observed by Algerian entrepreneurs who employ Moroccan workers who are likely to provide information to the secret services of the Moroccan Makhzen especially after the recent appointment at their helm of Mohamed Yassine Mansouri who decided to reactivate dormant spying networks by hiring new recruits among Moroccan workers scattered around the world.
In this connection, it should be noted that the Italian security services recently dismantled a Moroccan spying network in the southern city of Palermo, (Sicily), consisting of 3 Moroccan waitresses and 3 cleaning agents.
