Algerian businessman Achour Ben Abderrahmane is expected to appear shortly before a criminal court in Algiers for damaging investigation-related documents and public money embezzlement.

Achour Ben Abderrahmane is accused of embezzling about 2,300 billion centimes from BNA bank .He was deported from Morocco to Algeria, two years ago.

He has always insisted on his innocence, saying he collected his money by his own efforts.

In 2008, he passed the baccalaureate exam and enrolled at the University of Law.

The criminal session set to be held at a court in Algiers Between April 12 and June, will deal with a considerable number of terror-related cases. A total of 56 suspects involved in Algeria’s April 11 attacks will appear in court. The rest of the suspects including Abdelmalek Droudkel were killed by security forces.

Two Mauritanians will also appear in court in two separated cases. The first one is arrested and will be sentenced for the first time for belonging to a terrorist group. The second Mauritanian will be sentenced along with 26 other suspects. Of them, 15 are arrested for terror acts, theft and counterfeiting.
