Cabinet and Parliament face to face this autumn

Cabinet and Parliament face to face this autumn
Echorouk

The constitutional revision has restructured the political scene in Algeria. Parliament’s two sessions will be replaced by one-session-system. This will allow political parties to have many advantages.

There will be less presidential ordinances as the President used to promulgate ordinances during vacations between the two parliamentary sessions.

This year, the cabinet will have to present its political policy communiqué at Parliament. This has not happened since 2008. The new Constitution has set this point as an obligation.

The next parliamentary session will deal with the financial draft act 2017. The government plans to impose new taxes to face oil fall repercussions.

Political parties will call for hearing sessions with ministers to discuss their decisions. A monthly meeting will be held to discuss important issues.
