Cabinet to discuss incentive measures for jobless entrepreneurs

The government has decided to reconsider the requirements for the creation of jobs in favour of jobless entrepreneurs from those in the 35 to 50 age group through a battery of incentive measures in a bid to create their own start-ups and also expand their existing businesses. It has been decided also to increase the investments’ limit from 5 million Algerian Dinars to 10 millions.

• The draft presidential decree to be discussed today during the cabinet’s meeting aims at promoting the creation of small companies the young jobless entrepreneurs as part of the overall strategy initiated by the National Fund for Jobless Prevention.

• In this respect, the young entrepreneurs will benefit from low –rate credits and a full financial assistance of their projects in terms of studies and technical support required by the fund to accompany the young investors.

• In a bid to give another impetus to the strategy initiated by the government two years ago, the Algerian authorities have decide to expand the range of beneficiaries to reach the jobless aged 30 while it was limited to those aged 35 in the past and reduce the period of registrations in the Agency to a month while it was 6 months.
