“Chaos of Fatwa in Algeria” emerged on the occasion of Ramadan and questions that are raised in many doctrinal issues that often made the event “negatively” by creating turmoil among the ordinary citizen who finds himself between the different opinions that are even contradictory sometimes in one doctrinal issue.
Field follow up of this chaos shows that it is a result of the absence of religious and national reference with credibility, as it cures the hatred of the person who returns to it with the chaos of Fatwa on satellite channels, and various means of communication, media and websites, and the entry of the Salafi trend on-line that is free from the doctrine of the country inhabitants of an advisory opinion from its terms of intellectual reference, which is dominated by the Hanbali doctrine as pointed out recently by the Minister of religious Affairs and Awqaf, Mohamed Issa.
Ramadan is overlooking the Algerians with generosity and blessings of its days and nights, until it came up with many of the topics that needs to put a general rule of society that is handled by many of the bodies and the mosques will become a platform for marketing, but the latter appears it is no longer the way the right to adjust the fatwa, where he became a commoner Algerians hear the imam of a mosque who made a fatwa that someone who eats during the day in Ramadan without intention, it’s Allah who feeds him/her and gave him to drink and should not compensate the day, then surprisingly, two days after the imam of the same mosque makes a fatwa about the necessity of compensation, what creates a confusion for the person who is religiously in charge of searching for details and do not know the evidence.
In this regard, President of the National Independent Council of Imams Sheikh Djamal Ghoul said; “Problem of chaos in Fatwa in Algeria have negative effects on Algerians, due to the lack of a national credible reference credible which directed people in matters of their religion and life. We can not deny the existence of difference, but it is necessary to codify the fatwa according to the known Fatwa “Ruler raises controversy”, so there will be a reference that melted itself without the rest of the differences.”
Peaking about what was done by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, finally, at the Scientific Council of the National Fatwa including it as a step in the right direction “in order to unite the nation and collect the word.”
Ghoul said that in matters relating to Ramadan and so, it is necessary to differentiate between the “national reference”, which means the issues that are accepted by the Algerian society, even if they opposed the Maliki doctrine citing the example of zakaat al-Fitr and the “Maliki reference” which means requiring people with all the words of Malikis.
