Coach Djamel Belmadi May Leave Algeria Football Team

Captain of Algeria national football team, Riyad Mahrez, blew up a surprise after he revealed that the future of the “Greens” coach Djamal Belmadi in his post is not completely guaranteed, hinting at the possibility of his departure despite the leadership of the national team to win the African Cup of Nations on last July,19, in the finals which were hosted by Egypt.

The statements of Mahrez in this regard indicate that there are things that happen in of the national football team and the Algerian Football Federation is pushing Balamadi not to continue in office despite he has become an icon of the country, thanks to his effective contribution to the victory over Senegal and winning the continental title that was not obtained by the “Greens” For more than 29 years.

Mahrez raised the suspense which dominates the future of Belmadi with the national team when he said in an interview with the French Sports daily newspaper L’Equipe that the coach’s role in the club is in doubt, although his contract with the Algerian Football Federation continues until 2022.

Manchester City’s star Riyad Mahrez said: “We talked in a meeting with my teammates about what is happening now, and we agree that Belmadi is the only one who can make the decision that suits him and we will respect his decision”.

Previously, Echorouk revealed that the national team’s coach was upset about what happened in the Greens team after the experience he had with them during the past two months in preparation for the AFCON and during the same session, which prompted him to notify the senior official in the FAF about the need to make radical changes and clean the team from some disturbing parties, which bring negative impact.

According to some identical sources, Belmadi wants to exclude some of the officials who have worked with him like the manager Hakime Madane and his “supposed” assistant Amine Labadi.
