Colonel Ben Cherif responds to RCD leader
Colonel Ahmed Ben Cherif said Amirouche Ait Hamouda and Si Houas were killed by sophisticated technologies used by France during Algeria’s occupation.
-
“A French exploring aircraft equipped with chronometer technology was flying next Thamer mountain where it ambushed the two heroes. It recorded radio calls between the Algerian commanders,” Ben Cherif told Echorouk.
-
-
“This truth which I reveal for the first time was known among a number of Algerian war veterans,” he added.
-
-
He also said he respects Said Saadi who was unfairly jailed when Chadli Ben Djdid was in power. “Said Saadi is a clever person and if he wants me to help him, I will not hesitate.”
-
-
Speaking about Ben Hamouda who accused Houari Boumediene and Colonel Ahmed Ben Cherif of hiding Amirouche’s body, he says he advises Ben Hamouda to go to a psychiatric hospital for treatment. “He should stop lying. The issue comes back to Kasdi Merbah who consulted the French gendarmerie.”
-
-
He added that the military security forces took Amirouche’s body from the area of Bousaada to a place determined by Kasdi Merbah. “I did not know that the body was inside the box which was taken to a police station in Algiers. It was believed that it contained the Algerian revolution’s archives.”
-
-
“As I found out that the box contained the martyr’s body, I called Bakhti Lamiche who told Chadli Ben Djedid about that,” he added.
-
-
He believes that Chadli knew about the details of the issue.
