Council of the Nation: “France in the hands of an oligarchy that only understands Machiavellian interests”

The Council of the Nation’s Bureau, headed by Saleh Goudjil, expressed on Wednesday its support and appreciation for the Algerian state’s decision to withdraw its ambassador to France, following its recognition of the so-called Moroccan autonomy plan as the sole basis for resolving the Western Sahara conflict within the framework of alleged Moroccan sovereignty.
The Council of the Nation’s Bureau stressed that “Algeria, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aligns its policies with its principles,” noting that it “supports and appreciates the Algerian state’s decision to withdraw Algeria’s ambassador to the French Republic with immediate effect following the French government’s recognition of the so-called Moroccan autonomy plan as the sole basis for resolving the Western Sahara conflict within the framework of alleged Moroccan sovereignty.”
The French position – as confirmed by the same source – constitutes “a serious deviation from the ethics of political and diplomatic work and from the ABCs of international law and clear UN charters regarding decolonization in the world”, and it also expresses “disdain for the decisions of the International Court of Justice and its advisory bodies”, recalling in the same context that the Sahrawi issue is “a decolonization issue and is related to ending the last colony on the African continent”.
In the same vein, it added that the National Assembly Bureau “stresses that neo-colonialism, like old imperialism, is a stupid student and confirms the correctness of the statement of General Giap, the hero of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam, as he “does not understand the rule of history, does not consider the lessons of the past, nor does he learn from the practices and experiences of the present, but rather strives to repeat its atrocities against oppressed peoples who yearn for a promising tomorrow by determining their destiny themselves and with full sovereignty.”
The National Assembly Bureau also pointed out that “the colonial system, whether modern or traditional, although their methods differ, are two sides of the same coin in terms of stereotypes, matrix and objectives, and that its magic energy is nothing but unnatural, illegal, and morally and ethically unacceptable satanic violations.”
After stating that the French government’s decision “contradicts the growing global trend towards the necessity of ending colonialism in Africa, and is based on narrow political calculations and false historical data,” the statement indicated that “official France, through this decision, is today throwing itself into the hands of An oligarchy that understands politics only in terms of interests and benefits, using Machiavellian and opportunistic methods, to expose the fragility and compliance that should not characterize a member state of the UN Security Council.
This decision also – the same source continues – “consecrated the French state’s submission to the Moroccan marketing of imaginary hypotheses in exchange for achieving suspicious interests, so it accepted a barter stained with the blood of the proud Sahrawi people, just as the Moroccan occupation state accepted it in a previous alliance with an occupying usurping entity,” a decision that “contradicts the course of history and marks the end of diplomacy when it falsely approved the so-called autonomy as the only and sole solution”.
