Cruise Ships, Restaurants For Algerians In summer

Last Council of Government gave its approval to introduce the text of the decree that organized the marine leisure activities into force next week, to private investors who organize the ship cruises to citizens in all directions, as they will buy restaurants in ships and grant licenses for organization Jet Ski games and Psycho tourism in order to reconcile Algerians with the sea.

Transport Minister, Boudjema Talai, told Echorouk that the last Council of Government formally gave its approval to the Decree that organized the marine leisure activities, after the agreement with the many ministerial departments such as tourism, the Ministry of Fisheries, the Coast Guards, the Ministry of Defence, and the security services and Interior Ministry, to focus on the importance of securing sailing and travellers’ life, hence the book of conditions will be very strict in front of investors.

“The purpose of this decree is to reach the ranks of the developed countries in the field of recreational marine activities.”

In detail, the director of good’s transport and ports at the Transport Ministry, Mohamed Ben Boushaki told Echorouk that the decree’s text contains several positive points that allowed the private investors to buy ships with restaurants, where the Algerian families can take breakfast or dinner on the breeze of the sea, and it allowed the organization of cruises to citizens in all directions, both in the capital territory, or Annaba, Oran, or any coastal province.

“The decree will allow the organization of Jet Ski operations on the water that are controlled by security services, as these operations were banned before that, because of its transformation from a tool to enjoy to a way of losing life, as a considerable number of people died, and it caused horror among holiday makers, along with it, the decree will allow the fishermen who have boats to take citizens on their travels for fishing operations in return for cash, under what is known as “Psycho tourism”, and the goal of this procedure is to improve the profitability of fishermen.”
