Customs seize 81 walkie-talkies in the Port of Oran
Customs in the port of Oran (west of Algiers) have recently seized 81 walkie-talkies which were illegally imported from Europe, Echorouk has learnt.
- A part of the imported goods were transferred in a sea trip coming from the Port of Marseille. They were detected by a scanner, according to the same sources.
- The number of the seized walkie-talkies is 81. A security investigation was open while no detail was given about the destination and the purpose of them.
- Previously, customs seized weapons and war equipments including hunting guns, field glasses and gun powder. They were found with Algerians living in France.
- According to the same sources, customs seized about 420 mobile phones of different brands this week with a passenger coming from Marseille. He concealed them in juice boxes. In the same period, more than 50 mobile phones were caught carried by passengers.
- Customs have seized an important quantity of mobile phones and their accessories for the last few months. Their smugglers got fine bye virtue of legal procedures.
