Dangerous Zionist Infiltration of the Moroccan University System

Students in Morocco denounce the spread of the Zionist penetration of the university system as one of the most severe forms of normalization with the Zionist entity, within the series of official normalizations imposed by the Makhzen on the popular will, in a step that constitutes a “real” threat to scientific and academic research institutions in the Kingdom.

Students at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco revealed that the Makhzen “hastened” in a short time, that is, in less than two years, to establish cooperation and exchange relations with its Zionist counterparts “that claim to be academic and scientific researchers, but in reality, they are nothing but a factory for killers and criminals in the Zionist army, due to their involvement in developing weapons, military manufacturing, and other destruction products.”

The same students denounced their university’s conclusion of partnerships within the “shameful official normalization framework” with several Zionist universities that “include members of the Zionist army, both administrators and students, most of whom participated in the current Zionist aggression and previous wars against the Palestinian people, and the Zionist entity provides them with all kinds of material and moral support and benefits so that they continue serving it.”

The students also expressed, in media statements, their condemnation of their university receiving Zionist students, “most of whom are involved in crimes alongside the Zionist army in Gaza, even before the aggression of October 7, 2023, while enjoying all the benefits and facilities.”

In this context, they denounced the university exchange programs within the “close cooperation relationship” with Zionist counterparts involved in the genocide of the Palestinian people through military programs with the Zionist army, some of which have branches in the West Bank in the occupied Palestinian territories. They considered them “partners in war crimes, racial discrimination and genocide against the Palestinian people.”

The Morrocan students revealed that “a Zionist student studying with them was recently found to have participated in the killing of Palestinians,” while they expressed their shock at the fact that a Zionist university granted an “honorary doctorate” to a Zionist military official in the Zionist army “in appreciation” of his criminal actions and “involvement in the killing of a Palestinian boy in the West Bank.”

One of the students confirmed, in a press statement, that the same university “forced students last October to attend a lecture by a Zionist lecturer, in disregard and neglect for their position rejecting normalization and stressing the need to stand as a solid barrier against Zionist infiltration in Moroccan universities.” The students had demanded that their university administration “cut ties with its various Zionist partners,” asserting their commitment to continuing the struggle by all legitimate means and “the absolute rejection of the continuation of these suspicious partnerships.”

The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University cooperates with its Zionist counterparts, which specialize in areas primarily directed towards weapons technology used against the Gaza Strip. According to the same statement, one of the Zionist universities trains engineers specifically to work in weapons manufacturing companies, and its researchers are developing remote-controlled drones and bulldozers, which the Zionist army uses to destroy Palestinian homes and strengthen its siege on Gaza.

These universities are also used to train the elite forces of the Zionist defence and host military bases on their campuses, where graduates of higher education continue their compulsory service in the Zionist army and their expertise is used to promote research and development for its benefit and its branches and infrastructure extend to the occupied territories and settlements in occupied Jerusalem.
