Desert Warriors' Coach Lucas Alcáraz Calls 29 Local Players
Desert Warriors’ coach, Lucas Alcáraz, calls, on Wednesday, 29 local players in an extended list in anticipation of facing the Libyan team in the 2018 African Championship qualifiers for this category.
The match between the Algerian national team and its Libyan counterpart will take place in the stadium of “Mohamed Hamlaoui” in Constantine, on August 21st, at 20:45 pm, while the return leg will play in Tunisia for purely security reasons, a week later.
Local “desert warriors” will be on a closed training on July, 30th at Sidi Moussa National Art Center, and it will last until August 3rd, as the players will be relieved from the exercises between August 4th and 8th.
Desert Warriors will travel to the city of the “bridges” (Constantine) on August 9th, where they will stay at the Marriott Hotel and will train in the adjacent field of Mohamed Hamlawi Stadium.
They will return to Sidi Moussa National Art Center on August 13th, and then they will travel to Tunisia on August 16th, then two days later, they will play the return match against their Libyan counterparts.
The list includes two players who would come as “honor hosts”, who are the defender, Mohamed Marouani of the Chlef Association, and ES Saif’s striker, Ismail Saadi, in a FAF tradition to encourage young talents. While the coach Lukas Alcaraz gave the license to the striker Alhadi Boulaouidat, to be absent, and return after the Arab Cup for clubs in Egypt with his team Nasr Hussein Day.
Technical team will later remove the names of some players to reduce the list.
