Dozens of Algerians still trapped in Cairo

A number of Algerian students in the Egyptian universities and institutes said that many their friends disappeared, including female students in the Egyptian capital Cairo after the qualification of Algeria to the World Cup, these students also revealed that the Algerian police asked them, after their return from Egypt, about the names of two female students searched by their relatives, especially since one of the students called Kh. S from Tiaret, west of Algeria, was in contact with her father and told him that Egyptians break into her apartment in Giza, in Al Elharam street, before the phone was closed finally, since then there were no news about her and her friends, that’s why the father contacted the security services in Algeria, which begin investigations by listening to Algerians students who returned to Algeria Saturday coming from the Egyptian capital Cairo, one of the students said “The Algerian police stopped me and asked about the name of the Algerian student and if they left her with the rest of the student ». 

• On the other hand Echorouk received Sunday a number of phone calls from Algerians residing in Egypt who have been trapped by barbarous Egyptians both at their works or at home, as the Egyptians continued their attacks on Algerians following the statements of Alaa Mubarak, which permitted the liquidation of the Algerians.

•  Mourad, a university student who was surrounded along with 12 students in an apartment in Al Faisal Street in Giza, since the qualification of the Algerian team to World Cup, as some Egyptians have put a siege outside their apartment and prevents them from going out after cutting the electricity and water.

• Mourad called Echorouk; “We were prevented from going out in order to buy food, as some of our friends from Iraq and Palestine helped us before the Egyptians blocked their way and they were objected to harassments in order to prevent them from contacting us”.

• “ It was difficult to join the Algerian embassy in Zamalek following the siege by Egyptians and their attempt to burn it. We live difficult moments in the Egyptian popular streets which are small, where everyone knows that we are Algerians. Going out has become a real risk here”, Ibrahim, Algerian working in an Egyptian private company says.

• Despite many Algerians left Cairo, a large number of them is still trapped in their homes, as they requested return to Algeria because they can not even take a taxi in order to reach the airport.
