Drug Baron “Oussama Escobar” Is Jailed Again in Algiers

Investigating judge of the fourth room of El Harrache, issued on Thursday, an order to detain the drug baron who escaped Algiers El Harrache prison “Oussama Heniche”, and detained him again, after his arrest by the National Gendarmerie Battalion following the arrest warrant that was issued against him on April 29.

Same services intensified the operations of search and investigation of his whereabouts since his escape on April, 23, with the complicity of his lawyer and agents and guards of El Harrache detention, and some his family members, as the investigating judge interrogated the defendants who are suspected of the possibility of bringing help to the prisoner, including his parents and brother to determine the circumstances and the facts.

According to the statement of the public prosecutor at El Harrache Court, Zaatout Mohamed, said during a press conference that was held on Wednesday, that the elements of the national gendarmerie were able to arrest the so-called “Oussama Haniche”, following an ambush that was installed in Ain Temouchent (western Algeria), after information that was received about his whereabouts, to be detained again to El Harrache prison on charges of organizing a criminal cell for the purpose of preparing the escape with the complicity of guards, and bribery, as the public prosecutor asserted that the judicial investigation process will continue, and those who are involved in crime, including a lawyer and agents of guards who are followed with charges of organizing a criminal cell, and the misdemeanour to provide assistance to the escape of a prisoner and negligence.
