Echorouk signs historic partnership agreement with FAF Federation
Algeria’s largest daily newspaper Echorouk Al Yaoumi and the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) signed a media partnership contract on Wednesday for the promotion and upgrading of football in Algeria.

Echorouk promised to stand by the side of the national football squad and contribute in the development of the Algerian football. It is already sponsoring a number of local teams.

Publisher Ali Fodil: “partnership is victory and honour”

Echorouk’s publisher Ali Fodil said the partnership contract with in favour of the football squad is a victory and an honour at the same time.

“I hope that the squad’s supporters will be happy again as they miss victories since 1990 when the team won the African Cup,” he said in a celebration ceremony on the signature.

He expressed his optimism over coach Rabeh Saadane and the FAF chief Mohamed Raouraoua’s performance. “They will boost the Algerian football. Victory is a collective achievement.”

FAF chief: “partnership with Echorouk is historic”

FAF chief Mohamed Raouraoua expressed his delight for reaching a partnership contract with Echorouk newspaper.

“Such initiatives will diversify supply sources of the national squad which are added to the government’s efforts in terms of supporting sports field,” he asserted.

He added that the newspaper is the first which dealt with sports funding. “The partnership contract is unprecedented historic event.”

Algerian sports minister Hachemi Djiar thanks the publisher and Raouraoua, expressing his delight over reaching such an agreement.

“Echorouk newspaper is a model to be followed. I hope that new steps are made to achieve projects as part of developing sports in Algeria,” he said.

Coach Saadane: “the agreement will encourage the national squad”

Coach Rabeh Saadane said the agreement between the FAF and Echorouk is an encouraging act for the national players who will deal with a difficult phase as part of the World and Africa Cup qualifications.

“The agreement shows that everyone is mobilised in support of the national squad including the media,” he added.

He praised the current players. “I worked with many generations which passed by the national team. My elements are playing to honour Algeria.”
