Education Ministry is preparing to launch a national strategy to combat violence in schools, after reports of Education Directorates proved that the phenomenon noticed an increase of more than thousands of physical and verbal violence cases in 2013.

In order to fight the phenomenon, Education Ministry will organize a National Forum on March 13th, in the presence of National Gendarmerie and Security sectors, to dissect the phenomenon and create a national strategy to combat violence in schools, at the time the Ministry failed to face the phenomenon.

Field consultation that was carried out by the Education Directorates on the phenomenon of violence in schools, showed that violence has taken many forms , as there is violence which intended to beatings, and violence that appears through the psychological damage that resulted from it, and the material violence which aims to subvert the educational structures.
Causes of violence are internal because the Ministry encourages the phenomenon of repetition and overcrowding in all stages of education, which has produced many educational mobile groups, and the use of accessories with the intensification of the programs and the large number of activities, as well as the lack of cultural and sports activities in educational institutions, and external like the spread of divorce and dislocations and women going out to work.
