Education: BAC threshold to be fixed between 20 and 25 April

Threshold of BAC exams’ lessons 2014 will not be fixed in the current month, but it will be identified by the Education Ministry in the period between 20 and 25 April, directly after ending the collection of reports on the situation of lessons across the country, Echorouk sources said.

“Lessons threshold cannot be fixed currently because the studies did not exceed the first semester in the knowledge side, therefor, pupils did even study quarter of the program during the second semester, so the BAC pupils should receive a full program because they will be face questions about the full program and not on some lessons only”.

“The threshold will be fixed between the 20 and 25 April, i.e. After collecting the regional and national reports at the level of the General Directorate of Pedagogy, on the situation of the lessons’ advance across all the secondary schools.On light of these reports the BAC lessons will be fixed”.

“The threshold or what is known as identification of the reference lessons is a pedagogical way between the National Education Ministry and the National Office of Exams and Competitions considering it the key supervisor on the BAC subjects since years, but announcing them started in 2007, on the first “Reform BAC”, when the BAC pupils at that time expressed fears of the integration situation, in light of the lack of training for teachers at that time, as announcement happened in exceptional circumstances that were a motive for the appearance of the threshold.”
