Education: Illness, motherhood holidays to compensate lost lessons due to the strike

Process of compensating the lost lessons due to the open strike late on February, is conducted with a very slow pace, due to time constraints, and the lack of empty rooms, which led some teachers to take advantage of the opportunity of the absence of their colleagues who went on illness holidays, and exploit hours of teaching to compensate lessons and gain time to achieve a progress in programs, Ahmed Khaled, head of the Union of Pupils’ Parents told Echorouk.

“Despite the commitment of teachers in the three educational stages, especially the classes of exams, to compensate the lost lessons due to the  open strike that was launched on last February, and pupils alike, but they faced many obstacles, especially time constraints before the lack of rooms, forcing some teachers to take opportunity of the absence of their colleagues, especially women teachers who went for motherhood holidays, and exploit hours to compensate the lost lessons, as sone educators found difficulties in programming lessons for compensation after 5:00 pm, due to the lack of transport in the isolated and rural areas, where transport is absent.
