Education minister: We have to be careful when dealing with swine flu

The Algerian education minister Abu Bakr Ben Bouzid has declared that his department will rely on specific indicators when it comes to the treatment of the spread of swine flu within the educational institutions.

He revealed that the discovery of one case in a classroom will lead automatically to its closing for a whole week of and if other cases were registered in more than three classrooms; this will lead to the closing of the whole institution for a week.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Constitutional Council’s Forum inaugurated by the Algerian president, Abu Bakr ben Bouzid has declared to Echourok that his ministry has to be careful when dealing with the swine flu cases recorded so far.

He went on saying that the closing procedures have to obey to specific criteria adding that if one case is registered in a classroom, there was no need for the closing of the whole school, but the procedure would be applied if other cases were recorded in three classrooms until the complete eradication of the pandemic in the area.
