New Education Minister, Nouria Ben Gabrit Ramoune, who succeeds Baba Ahmed Abdellatif, will launch her first steps as a “Minister” for a sensitive sector by realizing her skills and expertise in her specialization as a researcher and university professor for the success of decisive and official exams, which is a tough task, especially the BAC exam 2014, since her appointment came in this sensitive period, and therefore will she succeed in her mission? Will she avoid the mistakes of her predecessors? Will she adhere to the promises that were made by Baba Ahmed, relating to application of the “rescue” system in the BAC exam after 7 years of cancellation?

Second largest files which the new Minister will face is the next school year 2014/2015, especially since the most important thing that will distinguish it, is the large number of pupils from Third year secondary school, and that will create the problem of “overcrowding” in sections, so how will Nouria Ramoune face this problem?
Minister Nuoria Ben Ghabrit Ramoune, will face another kind of problems, as she will be surprised by discovering a anarchic ministry, and many Directorates that conduct things on its behalf, especially at a time when the former Minister Baba Ahmed Abdellatif, referred to retirement over 40 officials in a matter of less than two years, as these important position have remained free till now, and it comes to the post of Secretary-General of the Ministry, the Director of Examinations and Competitions, and many other directorates.
In contrast, the new minister would be obliged to embody a set of obligations, which the former minister Baba-Ahmed Abdellatif, has vowed to apply on the ground in the shared records, and it comes to the applications of a special law, especially the file of ancient staff, which includes more than 100,000 employees, including primary schools teachers, teachers of basic education, technical education teachers in secondary schools, educational assistants, agents of laboratories and others, especially since the independent syndicate have demanded the need to integrate them directly.
Nuoria Ben Ghabrit Ramoune is a researcher, author, university professor and director of the National Center for Social and Cultural Anthropology in Oran (western Algeria).
She is the third woman appointed in a sensitive ministry that includes more than 600.000 employees and eight million pupils, which is National Education Ministry, after Leila Taibi and Zhour Wennissi.
Appointment of Nouria Ben Ghabrit coincides with decisive and sensitive exams like the baccalaureate graduation, as her task will be different of that of a researcher and professor in many institutions.
Will Nouria succeed in her mission, especially as she is a PHD graduated in sociology from the University of Paris in 1982, and studied at the University of Oran for several years, before she dedicated her efforts in research in the fields of education, youth, women and family , while she preoccupied many scientific and administrative tasks.
