El Harrach Prison Administration Refuses To Exit Ouyahia For Medical Treatment

El Harrach’s penal administration has rejected a request by former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia to allow him to undergo medical tests outside the prison, according to converging sources.
According to these sources, the prison administration has agreed, on the other hand, to the arrival of Ouyahia’s private doctor to the prison to examine the detained former Premier.
The leaked information did not indicate the nature of the illness suffered by the former prime minister, who has been imprisoned in El Harrach jail for over two weeks now, on pre-trial detention, as he is accused of involvement in corruption cases, with a number of businessmen, including the head of the ETRHB building complex, Ali Haddad now also held at El Harrach prison, as well as businessman Mahieddin Tahkout who is also being detained.
As a recall, the El Harrach prison guards’ are accommodating dozens of defendants in cases of corruption and bribery, including the other former Prime Minister namely Abdelmalek Sellal, together with the former Trade Minister, Amara Benyounes, as well as numerous businessmen, like the Kouninef brothers, the CEO OF “Cévital”, Issad Rebrab, as well as the owner of the Kia vehicle complex Hassan Arbaoui, in addition to dozens of shady executives operating in the state.
