Representative of candidates Mohamed Said and Djahid Younsi insisted on holding an emergency meeting after they had noticed voting fraud.

The meeting focused on voting fraud claimed in some voting centres. The two candidates’ representatives said the ballot boxes were staffed with voting papers. They also claimed that one of the candidate’s picture was replaced with another making him appear younger.

Four commissions were set up after the meeting. Each one went to Algiers, Blida, Boumerdes and Tipaza to take sample of the voting papers.
