Employment examinations in the education sector are not transparent: minister says
The Education minister Abu Bakr Ben Bouzid has yesterday revealed that time has come to give the opportunity for representatives of the education independent unions to contribute to the management and supervision of the social services’ funds, indicating that the authorities have assigned this task in 1994 to the trade union in a bid to avoid the transfer of the funds to the terrorist organizations in order to buy arms for their activities.
Taking the floor before the members of the parliament, M Ben Bouzid has noted that the issue is currently on the agenda of the cabinet to be discussed and endorsed, admitting the existence of numerous mismanagements. He further added that the participation of the independent unions in the management of the funds is more than necessary.
“ My prerogatives as part of the government’s ones and the most important thing for the time being is to sort out solution at the level of the executive branch and everybody agrees upon it” , he added. The minister has also talked about the necessity to enhance the teachers’ social and professional conditions in their quality as senior officers.
While focussing on the priority to carry out the employments’ exams in all transparency, the minister declared “His sector didn’t recruit teachers during the period between 1994 and 2001 as part of the International Monetary Fund’s instructions to freeze recruitments in all sectors of activities, but some 100 thousand B.A holders were recruited since 2001”.
The minister has admitted that the recruitments’ procedures in the sector are still not transparent” we have to combat this phenomenon,”, he said. He has indicated that 400 thousand candidates took part to the last examination while only 10 thousand posts are available which means 40 candidates for each post”.
