The Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, affirmed that the involvement of the European Parliament and some French political and media circles in attempting to interfere in Algerian affairs is nothing but a blatant practice to divert attention from the real violations of human rights and international law, expressing his question about how much credibility these trumpets have left regarding the separation of powers or the independence of the judiciary.

In contrast, Mr. Boughali praised the role of the Algerian judiciary, which is dedicated to protecting rights and freedoms, during his chairing of a council office meeting on Sunday, affirming that the hand of the law will reach anyone who dares to attempt to undermine the security and stability of Algeria.

In a speech before the start of the meeting, Mr. Boughali, on behalf of the office, emphasized the council’s commitment, within the framework of its constitutional powers, to enhancing democratic practice and supporting harmony among the state’s constitutional institutions, with a focus on the quality of legislation and respect for institutional integrity, contributing to the building of a strong and cohesive Algeria.

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Algerian Farmers’ Union, the President of the Council extended a salute of appreciation to the Algerian farmers in recognition of their efforts in serving the nation and providing food security.
He affirmed that the National People’s Assembly supports the President’s decisions aimed at developing the agricultural sector, encouraging production, and involving farmers in managing the sector, and is keen to contribute to enhancing this endeavor in the interest of the country.

On the other hand, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Mr. Boughali condemned the barbarity of the Zionist occupation and praised the active role of Algerian diplomacy in supporting the Palestinian cause in international forums. He also commended its firm stance against attempts to circumvent the European Court of Justice’s decisions to impose legitimacy on the occupation in the Sahrawi territories.
