Experts Call For Creating Algerian Websites For Digital Economy
Expert in computing, Dr. Othman Abdellouche, called for the creation of Algerian websites for the digital economy by integrating university researches in this field.
He told Echorouk; “Algerian society did not reach the adoption of digital economy, in the broad sense, and no one was able, to know the difference between this economy and the knowledge economy that would open the so-called the digital products’ boutiques. Algerian experts should contribute in the development of software, national search engines like Google”.
“Some embassies and ministries adopted, in their websites, the foreign titles “FR” and “Com”, and only 20% of the websites titles of such institutions write “DZ”, which is Algerian”.
“Digital monetary policy does not exist, despite the fact that the Algerian government talked about it, the digital economy, despite the fact that the Finance Ministry remains limited to the banking system, and is not comprehensive in its concept, to extend to the digitisation of new sciences and Algerian knowledge”.
For his part, Younes Kerrar, an expert in information and communication technologies, thinks that the inclusion of information and communication technologies at the Post Ministry will only add superficial things in this area, as the body or the Ministry of Digital Economy is at the disposal of the Prime Minister directly, with the expansion of the concept of the digital economy that belongs to the Finance Ministry, which is in fact only related to the modernisation of the financial system.
“Digital economy in the overall sense, is every service of modern technology, which makes a digital strategy to revolutionise the electronic services, that matches with the technological development that is in line with the regular basis among all ministries, through services that are linked with each other. File of every citizen electronically holds, since his birth, and through the stages of study and to activate additional information from a department to another one”.
