The meeting that brought together 10 permanent members out of 14 was aimed at deposing the present General Secretary and loosing the Egyptian grip on the Union.

The Miinister of National Solidarity, Family and National Community Abroad, M. Djamel Ouel Abbes has indicated in a letter, which bears his signature in his quality as the chairman of the Algerian Doctors’ Union, sent to the Arab Doctors’ Union general Secretary that he didn’t summon the committee’s members to meet.

It should be noted that the Algerian Doctors’ Union remains the one and only structure eligible for the organization of such meetings.
