Fans rush to Tlemcen to meet Mahrez

Algerian star Ryad Mahrez Saturday paid a visit to the quarter where he used to spend the most of his summer time. Hundreds of his fun went to the Beni Senous village in the province of Tlemcen to meet him, Echorouk has learnt.

Mahrez was angry due to the crowd surrounding him. He tried to hide in a Passat cart to flee flows of people who were rushing to the his grandfather’s house. Security forces had to intervene to restore calm.

Mahrez’s uncle told Echorouk a man from the province of Ouargula had to spend three nights in the street just to meet Ryad. Families and girls came hoping to take a picture with the player. Yet, he refused to appear to public and preferred to stay at his aunt’s house.

Mahrez is expected to leave on Thursday for Omra performance with his mother, according to his cousin.
