Fifa-2018: Algeria In The Group Of “Death”
Algeria is placed in Group B with Nigeria, Cameroon and Zambia after the draw for the final qualifying round of the World Cup in Russia in 2018, for the Africa region.
The draw, which took place this Friday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, was preceded by a minute of silence in memory of the former coach of the national team of Nigeria, Stephen Keshi, who died two weeks ago.
To recall, the iconic former defender of the 1990s, Keshi, the man nicknamed “The Boss” led the teams of Togo and Mali in particular, before leading Nigeria to victory in the African Cup of Nations 2013.
The final round will begin in October with the course of the first day, while the sixth and last days will be held in November 2017. The first of each group will go to Russia.
Moreover, the first team of the draw is the Libyan national team, as it was placed second in the first group.

Group I: Libya (2), Guinea (4), Democratic Republic of Congo (3), Tunisia (1)
Group II: Zambia (1), Cameroon (2), Nigeria (4), Algeria (3)
