FIFA’s website highlighted the newcomer to the Fennecs, Ibrahim Maza.
The FIFA website portrayed the brilliant striker with Hertha Berlin, who played his first minutes with the Algerian national team during the Togo match.
The FIFA website discussed Maza’s beginnings and attachment to the Algerian national team since childhood. Mazza said in this context: “When I was young, I used to watch Mahrez on TV and dream of playing alongside him. Today, I was on the field with him and other players like Baghdad Bounedjah and Ramy Bensebaini, and this is wonderful.”
The historic encounter between the Fennecs and Germany in the 2014 World Cup remains etched in the memory of Maza, who was only 9 years old at the time: “That match was unbelievable, we played it with our hearts, and despite the difficult defeat, it remains a historic match for Algeria.”
In statements to the FIFA website, Maza spoke about his goals with the national team: “I want to help the national team, win titles, and start with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. I will work hard to reach a good level with the national team, and I want to participate in the 2026 World Cup.”
