FIFA World Cup Trophy tour begins Maghreb leg on Sunday
The FIFA World Cup Trophy arrived in Cairo on Thursday (September 24th) to begin the African leg of its 225-day “roadshow” for football fans around the world, FIFA.com reported. The Trophy will head to the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Sunday. Tunisians will be able to see the Trophy at the Palais des Sports in El Menzah, between 10am and 7:30 pm on September 29th and 29th.
- Algeria follows, with the Trophy set to be on display next Wednesday from 1-6 pm at the business car park at the Algiers Hilton Hotel. According to FIFA, local radio stations will have information on how to win free tickets to the Algiers event.
